In depth
Verdict
Maclean finally gained the winning thread on soft ground last time out and while conditions are different today, he can beat locally trained Burgundy and Katiypour. Sir Michael Stoute's charge had had a few names called before his recent victory but the facts that Kieren Fallon is aboard and that the horse landed a dour battle at Chester rate as major positives. If anything he may be better over further in time. Burgundy will be the shortest traveller. He wins in his grade but this maybe a bridge too far. Katiypour won the race last year and while the recent form has been sketchy, the horse invariably runs well at this track. Prime Powered is still unexposed and looks open to the improvement. Maclean is taken to continue the winning thread in a wide open contest.
