Verdict
MASTER DARCY can lose his maiden tag at the eighth time of asking here, but we respect too the chances of Alasao and Vodka Brook. Sam Thomas looks an eye catching booking for Laura Mongan's runner. Third on his seasonal debut at Stratford in a higher grade, the yard will be hoping that he can show the improvement this year that was expected last, without really materialising. Alasao is the only course winner in the field, and that was last time out in an apprentices race, so still has plenty in hand at the weights with a number here, including our selection. Vodka Brook is due a win for the Allners, and always looks competitive. A 7 pound claimer on board just keeps him off top weight. A number have chances in a tight looking contest, but without pride or prejudice, we'll side with Master Darcy.
