Verdict

More than half the field have won over course or distance, but our selection MISTRESS TO NO ONE can claim both distinctions, and looks the likely winner here, with challenges expected from Latalanta and Penn Da Benn. Sam Thomas is an eye-catching jockey booking for Mark Rimell, who saw his mare win on debut for the yard and first time out in a handicap here last month. She escapes a penalty as that was an apprentices race, and comes here well in at the weights, with a stone in hand on a couple. One of the joint top weights is Penn Da Benn. He's been disappointing after winning a French hurdle on debut. A move to England hasn't been as successful as hoped, with him finishing only one of four races. It was hoped a switch to Alan King's yard may bring about a change in fortune, but he fell on debut for him. He's got ability, but needs to start showing it this side of the Channel. Latalanta is Gary Moore's only runner on the card, and has shown some promise, notably when winning a similar contest at Fontwell in March. He's entitled to come on for a run in November, and can expect some support.
