In depth
Verdict
A poor turnout for the finale, although in truth all four runners can be given something of a chance. Tango Royal has been basically poor this season, having not taken to fences and running moderately in more competitive hurdle races in his last two starts. He is, though, quite well handicapped and in the belief that a tactical race here may just sweeten him up, he is given the vote. Tosawi met a well-handicapped horse when third to World Wide web at Sandown last time, and that was an improved effort from him so is not one to oppose lightly, while Physical Graffiti showed improved form to win at Leicester last time out, and he looks the obvious danger to the selection. Toscanini was nearly seven lengths behind on that occasion, and was pulled up on his only subsequent start. To sum up, Physical Graffiti is sure to have his supporters and looks the one to beat, but we feel the value might just lie with Tango Royal.
