Verdict
Be The Tops might prove the answer here over Sterling Dot Com, Good Bone and Shannon Water's. This is an uninspiring contest in which Be The Tops is certainly no good thing, despite the fact that it represents a powerful stable. A winner twice over hurdles last summer, the six-year-old has shown nothing in three outings over fences so far, but can only get better, and this is just the sort of contest that he is likely to come good in, especially now that Tony McCoy is back on board. Sterling Dot Com does not always jump well but ran second in a slightly better race than this, here in December, and so has claims of a sort. Good Bone battled hard to score at Folkestone but then disappointed at Plumpton next time and is another that cannot be backed with confidence. Shannon Water's hacked up on her first start for the Pipe stable at Hereford in March but never looked like repeating the feat when falling at Plumpton later that month. Back over fences, she should should be noted in the market before committing. In a race in which bets are best kept to a minimum, Be The Tops is the pick.
