Verdict

Go Solo is the pick ahead of Sahara Prince, Compton Star and Wages. Go Solo seemed to acquire more stamina as he got older on the Flat, and it came as no surprise when he opened his account over timber here last month. He was beaten in a conditional riders' event up at Ayr last time, but with Tony McCoy now taking over in the saddle, a return to the winner's enclosure is very much on the cards. Sahara Prince floored the odds-on Hearthstead Wings on his first visit here, showing that he too can handle fast ground, so has to be of interest, while Compton Star has a low enough weight in his bid to see out the trip. Wages always finds one too good, and whether that will change today is open to question, and Ease The Way has to give the selection 7lb. Go Solo is the pick.
