In depth
Verdict
Waldo's Dream gets the call over Red Society, Shingle Street and Viscount Rossini to name but three. This is another mediocre contest, and one in which Waldo's Dream should have little difficulty in following up his recent success at Bangor on what was his first attempt over two-and-a-half miles. This slight drop back in trip should not be an inconvenience, and under conditions that suit, he looks the one to be on. Red Society was quite useful a while back but has in the main struggled since rising up the handicap and faces another battle to get his head in front here. Shingle Street is pretty much exposed and really needs further, while Viscount Rossini will probably find the ground too lively. Nevertheless the last two mentioned have bits and pieces of winning form and could be interesting for a place, but Waldo's Dream has what it takes to come out on top.
