Verdict

On official ratings at least, it looks very difficult to oppose Grave Doubts. A smart performer in bumpers, he beat the useful Threezedzz and Taming at Plumpton last time out and any reproduction of that should be good enough here. He is given the TEAMtalk nod to duly land the spoils today. Carpet Princess won a Bangor maiden in a very slow time and was subsequently found out over three miles. She needs to improve in order to land today¿s prize. Mantilla is the potential fly in the ointment. She seemed to produce her best efforts on the flat on a faster surface and in her hurdling career, she has seen scant little of it. The Frost team are more than capable of landing a shrewd gamble and any market confidence should be disregarded at your peril. Emali is a winning pointer but is difficult to enthuse about whilst Don Ido will need to have brushed up markedly on his jumping.
