Verdict

Bumpy Johnson is back over his best trip and back in the right grade so should give a good account, despite top weight, but Tikitov is having a rare start away from Ludlow. Saturday Song was a disappointing favourite at Doncaster with an earlier second at Uttoxeter coming over 2m. Sporting Mike is starting to slip down the weights again while Nico de Boinville has chosen Marmalaid ahead of stablemate Bombay Sapphire. Riskintheground disappointed in a handicap at Ludlow in February but easily won a maiden at Fontwell next time. King's Threshold was fourth in a strong novice event at Warwick latest and has scope but GINGERBRED is only 2lb higher than when beating a subsequent winner here in February and placed again under Jack Martin at Taunton last time.
