    Verdict

Plenty of potential improvers with the majority of horses having just their second run, however it is the more experienced Putney Bridge who gets the vote, with Dover's Hill rated the main danger. The selection, a former winning point-to-pointer, comes here on the back of a facile success at Stratford. Whilst that was on softer ground, he should be fully effective on this ground (won on good when trained in Ireland by Andrew Slattery) and he can take this race before going on to better things over hurdles next season. Dover's Hill is an obvious threat as he has shown ability in three starts and gets 10lb from the selection; his form looks solid. Time To Panic showed up for a long way on his debut at Bangor on soft ground and looks sure to improve, whilst Well Green and Weird Al are potential improvers. Friendly King is one to watch in the betting from his young stable that appear to like a touch, whilst Santia was well-fancied on debut before disappointing and better can be expected today. Watch the market for further clues, however Putney Bridge gets the vote.
