In depth
Verdict
Much improved since joining current connections from Colin Weedon, Banjo Hill is taken to complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Yann's Prince Sorinieres and Ingenu. Good ground or faster is the key to Emma Lavelle's in-form chaser and, although he has gone up another 9lbs for a recent success at Cheltenham, Banjo Hill is difficult to oppose. The Richard Phillips-trained Yann's is a consistent performer and should again be thereabouts but is once again likely to find at least one too good. It is not inconceivable that. having finally opened his account in the UK after nine unsuccessful starts, Martin Pipe's French import Prince Sorinieres could follow up. However, this is a tougher contest than the one he won at Taunton earlier in the month and a bigger danger to the selection could be Ingenu. Robert Alner's gelding has ground conditions to suit and is not badly treated but it is difficult to get away from the selection.
