Researcher looks worth taking on here with the booking of Tony McCoy for Sovereign's Gift catching the eye with only Fire Ranger of the others looking worthy of a mention. Venetia Williams has her string in good form at present and, if reproducing the form she showed when chasing home Dancing Pearl at Southwell two starts ago, Researcher has to be respected. However, Sovereign's Gift is of a similar level of ability but has proven form on this ground and, with McCoy booked for the first time, will get plenty of assistance from the saddle. Fire Ranger is less exposed than most but needs to improve to trouble the selection. Solo Dancer is the best of the remainder.
