In depth

Verdict

KAYF THOU (NAP) was making his handicap debut on just his fourth start over fences when scoring over slightly further here last month. He's 8lb higher but looks certain to get into contention and gets the vote to complete a double. Witness Of Fashion, who was back in fourth, has won three times around here but is better in more testing conditions. Double Portrait bounced back to winning ways with a battling victory at Thurles and a 6lb rise shouldn't prevent another big effort while the presence of Derek O'Connor on board should ensure Cowboy Des Long gets competitive despite a big weight on his handicap debut. Patrick Mullins' mount Caniwillyegiveme would prefer some give but Shanklys Dawn completed a double on good ground in September so conditions will be in his favour. Lisa O'Neill's mount School Lane has been making steady progress since arriving from the point-to-point field and has to be on the short-list after a very good run at Down Royal.
