In depth

Verdict

Cushinstown Finest was well beaten when placed at Thurles on Thursday. CHOUNGAYA had been racing in much better company before losing his maiden tag over fences at the eighth attempt when tackling 2m5f here. He did well to score off a slow pace that day and this should be much more suitable. Rachael Blackmore is on board again with J J Slevin riding stable companion High Sparrow, another decent stayer who has been racing in strong company and needs a test of stamina. Macgiloney is better on quicker going so if the ground dries out he would enter the argument while Key Commander stepped up to this trip for the only time at Thurles in December and came home well clear.
