Verdict
Palabres started favourite on her debut over 5f on soft ground at Navan but never really looked like winning. The extra furlong and quicker ground may bring about some improvement and this doesn't look the toughest of maidens. Her stable also run the newcomer Heavenly Rainbow with the champion jockey on board and he's a half-brother to a couple of winners. Count D'orsay also made his debut at Navan where he led for a long way so he should improve while Chernish looks certain to make progress from a fair effort at the Curragh. Posh Holly attracted some support on the latter track but didn't enjoy the heavy ground and these conditions should be more suitable. Rhosgobel is by Dandy Man out of a winning miler so should have plenty of pace but with his stable absolutely flying at present it's SALTILLO, who is by a speedy sire out of a 6f winner, who gets a tentative vote.
