Verdict
A desperately modest seller in which VENTURA MAGIC is selected in hope rather than confidence. As is the case with his rivals, it is impossible to construct a strong case for his chance but the booking of the champion jockey is potentially significant and he does drop down to this grade for the first time. It would not surprise to see De Sousa attempt to make all on the Hannon charge. Breakfast has shown enough to make any shortlist and rates the main danger, although he too is a prominent racer and it will be interesting to see if he takes on the selection up front. Frozen Bere, blinkered for the first time, has a claim on one piece of form whilst Masters Apprentice cannot be ruled out either on form displayed before a gelding operation.
