Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute has his string in fine form and ALLANTE is taken to notch another success for the Newmarket handler. The Pivotal filly looked in need of the run on just her third career start and seasonal reappearance when a solid fifth in a large-field Newmarket maiden and should strip fully fit here. She looks on a feasible mark for this handicap bow and can prove too good for her rivals. Popsicle ran well on reappearance and must play a part on that evidence, whilst Kaaba Stone looked one for the future when a pleasing third at Chelmsford during the winter. He rates the likeliest danger. Peter Chapple-Hyam has his string in good nick at present so Mirror Mirror is worth a market check on handicap debut and Renny's Lady isn't discounted at the opposite end of the weights.
