In depth

Verdict

Formerly with Brian Ellison, Berlin Bunker has to be respected on his first start for new connections on his return to hurdles but he may be best watched on his debut for them and preference is for The Rebound Kid, with Saucy Bingo rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed ability without troubling the judge on the level when with Geoff Huffer before making a pleasing debut over hurdles for new handler Evan Williams, who has his string in good form now, and he is taken to build on that effort and take the honours here. Kaddasan showed promise in bumpers but gave little sign for encouragement on his hurdling debut so may be best watched. A market move for the lightly raced Farmer Tom would be of interest but more solid claims are probably held by the newcomer Saucy Bingo, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. The Rebound Kid is entitled to build on his hurdling debut effort and he gets the vote to open his account today.
