Verdict
Jayed returns after a break and has to be respected off his current mark along with Countback but preference is for Naked Oat, who should be suited by the return to this trip and ground. The selection failed to stay the extended 2m4f in more testing conditions at Uttoxeter last time and should be better suited by today's conditions, under which his recent form is more solid than that of his opponents. Countback is less exposed than most of these and has to be respected, while Katy The Duck has slipped to an attractive mark. Dunraven is capable but none too consistent and of more interest may be Broughtons Mill, who receives weight from all of his rivals. The vote though goes to Naked Oat, who has conditions to suit and is taken to gain an overdue success.
