Verdict
Kind Sir ran too badly to be true at Aintree on Friday night and may be worth another chance in a poor contest where the main dangers look to be Maryland and Resplendent Star. The last mentioned unseated his rider on his hurdling debut at Market Rasen earlier this month and, while his form tailed off on the flat, the son of Northern Baby could still be of interest at this level. Owen Brennan's bumper winner Maryland makes her debut over hurdles today and has to be respected. Hurdling debutantes Breezy Boy and Wicked Nice Fella make limited appeal in a race where the vote goes to Kind Sir. Tony Carroll's gelding has been in fine form over fences of late, his effort at Aintree apart, and may have too much class for his rivals here back over timber.
