In depth

Verdict

An interesting novice chase in which FIRST FANDANGO makes considerable appeal to notch a first fencing success. A more than useful hurdler, he has gone very well on both chasing starts to date, running the useful There's No Panic close at Fontwell and hunting up the promising Forgotten Gold at Aintree when last seen. That sets a very decent standard here and he should be too good for Brady, especially with Michael Byrne claiming a valuable 5lb. The latter was beaten over 20l on his Wetherby chasing debut and lacked the talent of the selection over timber too. He needs to improve on what he's achieved to date to figure here, whilst Sainglend and Mavalenta are decent sorts over timber who now make their fencing debuts. Both are worth keeping an eye on and are preferred in that order.
