Verdict
It was a really gutsy performance from Courage Under Fire to defeat Fasgo by a neck at Market Rasen recently. He was winning there off his highest ever mark and it seems likely that after such a tough race and under a 7lb penalty, he will be hard pushed to go in again here. He would also prefer some cut in the ground. This is quite a competitive three mile chase for this time of year, with bold jumping Stanmore sure to put in another decent run and Don't Tell JR an interesting runner for Ferdy Murphy, who has a good record at the track. Pam Sly sends Bassenhally, who has been lightly campaigned, loves the track and won this race last year, but TEAMtalk's idea of the winner is Carried Interest. Denis Caro's runners have been going pretty well so far and he will be fit enough to run well first time out. He does have a penchant for genuine good ground and his second to Montifault (although no chance with that winner) at Fontwell last year would give him every chance here.
