    Verdict

A watching brief is advised on the first juvenile hurdle of the new season with all runners having featured on the Flat. David Evans makes life difficult for punters by running a quartet of contenders so we'll look elsewhere with the eye falling upon ALL NIGHTER. The ex-Brian Meehan trained inmate was progressive at an ordinary level on the Flat, culminating with success in a Lingfield polytrack maiden. He obviously has some pace and hopefully can hurdle with sufficient fluency first time up to make it count. Grand Gold won on the level for the Mick Channon yard and is respected, whilst AP McCoy takes the mount on Halali, a fair second in a Wolverhampton maiden in April.
