Verdict
Inconsistency hallmarks the majority of these so it will all depend on who has a going day. MR GOOFY's only win was at this trip on quick ground so he should be well suited by this test and arrives here in good heart after hunting up Sonic Anthem at Southwell. A repeat performance would give him strong claims. Bellaboosh has been extremely in and out this year but will definitely be in the shake-up if in the same mood as when scoring at Hexham over this trip latest. Mac Halen has ability but remains frustrating and Border Lad was the only one threatening Prime Edition here last time when capsizing in the home straight. However, all three of his wins have come on soft or heavy ground.
