In depth

Verdict

All three of Cold Harbour's career victories have come over this track and he carries a penalty for last week's success over 2m4f. He's by no means the most consistent of performers and will take some beating at his best but RICKARDSTOWN gets the vote. Barry Murphy's raider was sent to Hexham on Saturday and, racing over 3m1f on fast ground for the first time, he battled strongly to beat Curahee a neck. He can complete a quick double under Paddy Brennan, who rode him last week. Kisha King stays extreme distances and isn't badly treated on his most recent form under Rules though he's been mainly disappointing between the flags recently. No Panic won a chase from a 7lb higher mark at Cartmel in August and though his form figures look poor he's been competing at a much higher level than this.
