In depth
Verdict
Imperial Acolyte found only one too good reverting to hurdles at Southwell earlier this month so has obvious claims. Rufio was second at Lingfield when making his handicap debut and seems to be edging closer to a first victory. No Quarter Asked makes a quick reappearance having failed to take to fences at Hereford on Wednesday and is another for the shortlist while On The Road has won four times over hurdles despite being better known as a chaser nowadays. GALTEE MOUNTAIN needs forgiving a poor run at Plumpton but didn’t fare badly on his reappearance here and won on soft ground at Fontwell in the spring so will handle conditions and could be the value ahead of Nocte Volatus.
