Verdict
Vandenberghe is put forward as the one to beat in the finale with Tintawn Gold and Absinther nominated as the principle dangers. The selection is dropped in trip after finishing fourth behind Most-Saucy at Lingfield earlier in the week over 2m. He had previously been ridden by an inexperienced apprentice over the same distance when disappointing, and now that he is dropped to this more suitable trip he should take plenty of stopping. Tintawn Gold rates the main danger as he is eased in grade after putting up a fair effort in a handicap on this track last time behind Royal Racer. He is stepped up in trip which will suit and he should go well. Absinther is another who disappointed in handicap company last time and he is not the most consistent, but if he ordained to put his best foot forward then he would have a decent chance. Touch of Ebony is returning from a lengthy break but if he is fit then he would have place prospects, but for the winner we will stick with Vandenberghe.
