    Verdict

A weak handicap for fillies where Belle Rouge could be the answer, with Rye and Resonance tipped as the possible dangers. Con Horgan's mare finished runner up on three occasions during the winter and carried that form through to Kempton 11 days ago when chasing home Linens Flame in a similar race to this. Today's opponents don't appear to be any stronger and with Dettori in the plate she holds very strong claims. Rye is famous for all the wrong reasons, having been involved in the banning of Keiren Fallon. However she could be a big danger to the selection, as she wasn't disgraced in a decent race at Lingfield last time behind Golden Quest, and is thought to be much better than she has shown so far. Nigel Twiston-Davies doesn't have too many runners on the flat so Resonance, a recent runner-up in a Lingfield maiden, has to be respected. Miss Koen, third over course and distance last week, is also worthy of a mention, but for the winner we return to Belle Rouge.
