Verdict

There are some interesting newcomers in the opener on the card including Richard Hannon's Captain Rio colt Cape To Rio, who should appreciate the underfoot conditions, and Andy Haynes' Exceed And Excel filly Lady Excellentia but experience may prove to be decisive and preference is for BAJAN BULLET. David Evans continues to have his string in good heart and Bajan Bullet has done little wrong in two starts so far having run a fair third on her debut on the Polytrack at Lingfield before finding just Little Libretto too good first time out on turf on soft ground at Nottingham last week and she can go one better again today. Alan McCabe's Major Return is nicely bred but he would probably prefer faster ground, while Mick Quinlan's Bishops Moon is likely to do better over further. Mick Channon's Saucy Buck ran well when sixth in the Brocklesby on his debut and that form is beginning to work out so he warrants respect and looks the main danger to the selection, Bajan Bullet.
