Verdict
Rae Guest's HILL OF MILLER has a few pounds in hand on official BHA ratings, is a confirmed performer on soft ground having run well when third in this grade in a better race at Leicester last time and he can open his account with the main dangers rated as Vito Volterra and Tiger Hawk. The last mentioned is trained by David Evans, who has his runners in good heart and the son of Tale Of The Cat showed that further by winning at Southwell last week but he is not certain to handle the ground as testing as this and looks best watched. Catherines Call was fairly well held first time out at Kempton as a juvenile but he should handle the ground being by Captain Rio and has to be considered and makes more appeal than Pat Eddery's Avonside, who would probably want faster ground. The Andy Haynes-trained Vito Volterra has already won three times and looks interesting being dropped into this grade. He should handle the ground perfectly well being out of a Bluebird mare and looks the main threat to the selection, Hill Of Miller.
