Verdict
Not many can be seriously fancied and it is hard to look beyond the front three in the betting. Blackchurch Mist confirmed previous promise when landing a handicap hurdle at Wincanton in December but that was a weak affair and the six-year-old could prove vulnerable under her penalty on her return from an absence. Southdown House had her limitations exposed when a beaten favourite in a similar event at Fontwell last month and may find this an inadequate test on the ground so the vote goes to Easibrook Jane. Colin Tizzard's mare appreciated the step up to this trip when a close second at Exeter last time and, being lightly raced is open to further improvement so looks the one to beat in an ordinary contest.
