Verdict
A lot of unknown quantities here so it is with some trepidation that Peppershot is chosen, Dolzago, squirtle Turtle and Versus however, should all be checked out in the betting market. Peppershot was a pretty poor performer on the flat but ran an encouraging first race over hurdles when third behind Watchful Witness in a similar event to this a few weeks ago. The form of that Plumpton race is nothing special but this son of Vettori should improve for the outing. Squirtle Turtle is of interest as he hails from the Paul Cole yard. His flat form isn't too bad either, he was third in a Goodwood claimer in October, and earlier this month beat Delta Force in a Southwell handicap. Dolzago was modest on the flat but is trained by the very shrewd Gary Moore so watch for any support. The same applies to Versus who does boast winning form on the flat in Germany. Whitton Park is also worthy of respect looking at the connections, however on this occasion we will stick with the horse with proven form and side with Peppershot.
