        Verdict

        A low-grade affair lacking in quality but still a fairly competitive race of its type and davids Mark is put forward as a hopeful each way selection. The John Jenkins-trained gelding was a comfortable selling winner on the Polytrack at Lingfield last month and was then far from disgraced when stepped up significantly in class at Southwell next time. The son of Polar Prince remains unexposed and is open to further improvement so has every chance with the track and ground to suit under a useful 5lb apprentice. Blakeseven ran well when placed in a fair handicap at Lingfield last time and should go well despite being 7lb higher on his return to the turf while top weight Red Polka Dancer has claims if fit following a four-month absence. Magic Warrior, who landed a seller on the all-weather in November, is another who should be thereabouts if repeating the same level of form on turf while Scarlet Secret will be better suited by this trip after being outpaced over the minimum distance last time and has chances on previous efforts.
