Verdict
Not a race that will take much winning and this appears a good opportunity for Red Lion who can open his account over hurdles. A fair middle distance handicapper on the Flat, Nicky Henderson's charge ran a race full of promise when third on his hurdling debut at Wincanton last month. The son of Lion Cavern will be suited by the step up in trip and will prove hard to beat here with the benefit of experience. Goldbrook has shown a consistent level of form but lacks the scope of the selection and may have to settle for a place once again. Stars Delight has been well beaten on both starts over timber but this represents a drop in grade and he could reach the frame while Highpoint could prove best of the remainder.
