American Ladie has switched stables since failing to land the odds at Wincanton in May but has a poor strike rate and looks vulnerable again here. Preference is for ON TERMS, who has won five times on the Flat and found only subsequent winner Snow Blizzard too strong on her hurdling debut at Hereford last month. Trovare is another interesting recruit from the Flat as he has been placed three times at Newmarket this year and is guaranteed to see out this trip while Reg's Ruby won at Stratford last time, though that was her 11th start over timber and she lacks the scope of some of these.
