In depth

Verdict

The lightly-raced Thunderstruck gets cheekpieces for the first time having finished third over 3m at Newbury last time. Drumlee Watar is even less exposed and stayed on into second behind the well-backed Wbee over this trip at Stratford. Lugg River has ability but is proving expensive to follow while Certainly Red has gone up 11lb after recording a first victory at Wincanton. WINDANCE (NAP) defied a penalty over track and trip in March just five days after making a winning start in handicaps at Taunton. He’s clearly very tough and a further 6lb rise may not prevent the hat-trick.
