Verdict
Sigwells Club Boy can finally gain an overdue victory at the expense of Blue Leader and Mrs Philip in the final race on the card. Sigwells Club Boy has shown a consistent level of form all season but keeps finding one or two a bit too good. However, there were definite signs at Taunton 18 days ago that his turn is near. Granted it was only a selling handicap but he was only headed on the run-in and a similar performance here will again see the son of Fayruz dispute the finish. This amateur riders' affair is little better than a seller anyway and there do not appear to be too many serious rivals to the four-year-old who at least has time on his side. Mrs Philip has to give 10lb to her younger rival but does at least come from a top yard, and can boast winning form at Exeter last autumn. In addition the stable won this race 12 months ago with Adalie who was also ridden by today's pilot. She can give the selection most to do along with Blue Leader who goes well fresh. Kildare Chiller is a former course and distance winner and Eau Pure's stable are always a threat here. The rest do not look up to much and in a weak affair to end proceedings, Sigwells Club Boy is the selection.
