Peter Silver has his first run for Giles Smyly but was placed three times over hurdles in France and should make his presence felt if fully tuned following a break. Red Hanrahan looked on course for a debut victory over timber at Wetherby in October before falling three out. But he's been a beaten favourite in both subsequent starts and needs more.
