Verdict
Peter Silver has his first run for Giles Smyly but was placed three times over hurdles in France and should make his presence felt if fully tuned following a break. Red Hanrahan looked on course for a debut victory over timber at Wetherby in October before falling three out. But he's been a beaten favourite in both subsequent starts and needs more. Abbreviate has a similar recent record but CLONDAW CIAN is two from two on this track and, though disappointing when odds-on last time at Plumpton, this looks a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
