In depth
Verdict
Cedar Green stays well and should be suited by the twists and turns of this track, but he is a moody customer and isn't one to rely on. New Rising has a touch of the slows, but he does stay well and handles plenty of give underfoot. Lucys Lad has had problems with his fencing and could not be considered around this trappy track. Dick McCarthy has never been out of the frame here and it remains to be seen how he reacts to the first time blinkers. The consistent Perange has only finished out of the frame once in his seven outings over fences and must go well in this, despite top weight. There are less ifs and buts about him and he gets a tentative vote to see off some iffy rivals.
