Verdict
Some modest individuals can be led home by chasing debutante Monti Flyer, who makes more appeal than Yvanovitch, who is respected but has a question to answer regarding the trip. A bigger threat may be posed by Silver Ingot, who stays well and should not be underestimated as he is still open to improvement over fences. He could be good value for the forecast. Jivaty and Maiden Voyage, on the other hand, arrive with a little to prove and need luck on their side today. Yvanovitch has plenty of experience in this sphere and is worth another try at the distance. However, he has disappointed when tried beyond two and a half miles in the past and is not one to trust implicitly. Which brings us back to Monti Flyer, who looks to have been found a soft introduction to chasing. Tony McCoy will have plenty of time to settle the gelding into a rhythm and, with the likelihood of fair odds being available, the mount of the champion jockey is well worth a small investment now that he is being sent about new tasks.
