In depth

Verdict

Waldenstroem is preferred to Spanish Cruise whilst Dancing Mist and Major Rumble are two of the likelier newcomers. The selection ran well in a junior bumper at Newbury just over a year ago to finish third in very testing conditions. The form of that race has worked out very well and the newcomers will need to be above average to lower his colours. Spanish Cruise, a son of Daylami, ran on well to win on the all-weather and should go well if he handles the contrasting conditions whilst the market should help clear the waters somewhat with regard to the chances of the newcomers. Major Rumble represents a top yard and is related to winners whilst Dancing Mist also looks the part on paper although he'll need further in time. Hector Barbossa and Latalanta are two other names to throw into the ring but the proven form of Waldenstroem is taken to win the day.
