Verdict

This does not look to be the most competitive of contests and it is hard to get away from Charlie Mann's Air Force One, who is preferred to O'Maley and Methodical. The last mentioned has made a pleasing start to his chasing career but she would need to improve considerably to trouble the selection. Gaelic Gift was well held by Air Force One at Folkestone last time and is hard to recommend on that evidence, while neither Jackella nor Mysaynoway make any real appeal. O'Maley has shown gradual improvement since joining Paul Nicholls, especially this season now that he has been sent chasing but it is hard to oppose Air Force One. Charlie Mann's six-year-old was useful on the flat in Germany, showed promise over hurdles including when second to Wichita Lineman in the Brit Insurance Novices' Hurdle and has already shown a liking for chasing. A reproduction of Folkestone form should suffice for the six-year-old.
