Verdict

Soleil Fix is the pick of this bunch with Megaton and L'Oiseau taken as the dangers. The former hunter chaser made all to take a moderate race over course-and-distance. Granted, he wasn't foot perfect but there was at least the promise of more to come. Megaton is fully exposed. He may have appreciated a return to a quick surface but his temprament isn't exactly first class. L'Oiseau is very much a fast ground performer. The handicapper has had a chance to do his sums but he seems to have far better claims than most in opposition. Pan The Man won a dour affair at Plumpton. This looks a tougher assignment. Whizbang has yet to be tried on a surface as fast as this. Bay Mouse makes a first foray into handicaps. Sandymac won a hurdle race at Wincanton and is now tried over the larger obstacles.
