        Verdict

        A tight one to call but Strong Paladin has a lot in his favour today despite having to give weight away all round. The gelding proved that all his problems are now behind him with a convincing display here earlier in the month and his game attitude is taken to be the decisive factor in the closing stages. Helvetius and Line Apple are other with strong claims and will push the selection all the way to the line for the places.
