In depth
Verdict
River Heights is taken to make a winning debut ahead of fellow newcomers Or Jaune and Indian Open, with Shekel worth a mention at least. This does not appear to be a strong bumper at all, and so only a modest investment on River Heights is recommended. Colin Tinkler's charge is a half-brother to Bowleaze who was successful in this sphere before making his mark over hurdles, and on breeding will improve when sent over further in due course. Or Jaune is a half-brother to Iznogoud so he too may have a bright future over fences one day, while Indian Open hails from a yard that can get them ready to run well first time so is another that is worth noting. Shekel has already had a run at Bangor where he only beat one home and he definitely has the look of a chaser in the making, indeed the dam is related to an Irish flying machine of yesteryear, Anaglog's Daughter. This is a real guessing game, and only a tentative vote goes to River Heighs.
