In depth

Verdict

Knightsone, a Roscommon bumper winner on soft ground, was narrowly beaten by Dayrina on his hurdling bow at Down Royal and that sets the standard. Sue And Isi attracted some support in that event but fell at the first while Spa Hill had a run over hurdles in June but performed badly and went back to bumpers, scoring at Killarney last month. He can do better and rates a threat but Willie Mullins looks to have unearthed another potential gem in VICKY DE L'OASIS. Three times a winning bumper in France, she'll need to adapt to much faster conditions here but, with her allowance to aid her cause, is expected to get off to a winning start.
