Verdict

The four-year-old PERSISTENT (NAP) is progressing fast and a 5lb rise for his recent victory at Tipperary doesn't look enough to prevent a follow-up. Stormey has been in excellent form all summer and would have finished much closer at Ballinrobe last time if getting the run of the race while Draycott Place, who has been alternating between hurdles and fences, is on a 10lb lower mark over the smaller obstacles. St Lawrence Gap has won on the Flat and over timber this summer and is back to his best trip after finding 2m4f stretching his stamina at Gowran but course and distance winner Ronava is probably better over further these days.
