Dumhach Thra ran twice at the Festival here and produced easily his best run to date when runner-up over the trip though a 3lb rise won't help his cause. Roachdale House finished a long way in front of him in the first of those races but didn't enjoy the heavy ground when back on the Flat at Roscommon and conditions look like being testing here. Nameloc improved in a Clonmel maiden but will need much more here while Sizing Malbay has done much better since tackling longer trips so could find this on the short side. Effernock Lad comfortably landed a 2m3f handicap at Downpatrick then failed to take advantage of a lower chase rating but it's about time JAZZ RANGER was adding to his lone success. Narrowly beaten in his last two starts at Sligo, he has Katie O'Farrell's claim to aid his cause and can take this tricky handicap.
