Verdict

Not even the application of blinkers managed to re-ignite Corskeagh Royale's enthusiasm at Ballinrobe in May and the seven-year-old looks one to be wary of now. Stablemate Accord Aris probably has more scope over fences but needs to improve on what he's shown so far to figure here while it remains to be seen if Venalmar retains all of his ability, though there were definite signs of promise in his third to Realt Dubh at Navan last month. Coolavanny Gaffer's second to Muirhead will have delighted connections and this strapping ex-pointer is one to follow this winter while Jessies Dream still has time on his side. But BERTIE'S DREAM made giant strides over hurdles last season, culminating in a win in a Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival in March, and he's expected to make his mark over the larger obstacles this campaign.
