Verdict
Wise Old Owl steps out of novice company but is in cracking form and went readily clear at Clonmel last month. John Kiely's six-year-old has to go on the shortlist but the ground may not be fast enough for recent Kilbeggan winner Dreams Honour. Agus A Vic was a prolific hunter chaser but has struggled to acclimatise to the demands of this more competitive level and more interesting are course specialist Barna Bay and Old Si, who took advantage of a lenient mark to finish second at Punchestown earlier in the month though has been raised a couple of pounds since. Lightly-raced and potentially well handicapped over fences, BAILY ROCK gets the vote however. Mouse Morris' charge won off a higher mark over timber last season and looked to have got his jumping together at Gowran last time.
